Prayer for Rain

 sweet darkness, "I'm shaking",

wrenched in cold tears I weep.

how can there be waking,

when night holds no sleep?

 cruel light foils the windowpane. 

 it cleverly creeps.

 spoiling the dark mask of my pain.

 its reality reaps.

 in embers of sunlight,

crawl pin-rays of lies.

deceits that I can't fight,

haul defeat to my eyes.

 I pray:

 lies kept me from sleeping

darkness from pain

 now daylight is coming

 I wish it would rain,,.  ,
